Our client is a well-established interior fit out contractor, delivering high-quality retail and commercial projects across the UK. They are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee a fast-track shop fit in Ashford.The Role:
This is a small-scale but high-intensity project requiring a hands-on Site Manager who is equally comfortable leading subcontractors, managing programme and quality, and rolling up their sleeves to keep the site running smoothly. You won’t be sat behind a desk all day — this is a boots-on-the-ground role that demands presence, drive, and attention to detail.Key Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day site operations to deliver the project on time and to specificationCoordinate and motivate subcontractors to maintain pace and qualityMonitor health & safety compliance at all timesMaintain clear and consistent site records and reportingCarry out hands-on tasks as needed, including maintaining a clean and safe working environmentResolve site issues quickly and effectivelyLiaise with the client and project team to ensure smooth deliveryEssential Requirements:Valid CSCS Card (Black or Gold)SMSTS qualificationFirst Aid at Work certificationAsbestos Awareness certificationFire Marshal trainingPrevious experience in retail or shop fit out projects (fast-track delivery preferred)Strong organisational and leadership skillsWillingness to take a hands-on approach where requiredExcellent communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and to tight deadlinesLocation: AshfordRate: £260 – £280 per shift (depending on experience)Location: Ashford | Salary: 260 - 280 per day | Job type: Contract | Posted: 14/08/2025
