Learn more about Kemira at .Job Summary: The Production Scheduler is responsible for coordinating production activities based on order requirements, material availability, and storage capacity. This role works closely with operations, customer service, logistics, and supply chain to ensure manufacturing runs align with business priorities and site safety standards. The scheduler plays a key role in troubleshooting SAP discrepancies, managing communications, and supporting timely deliveries.Key Responsibilities:
  • Review MRP controllers and ATP status to identify production needs and initiate scheduling
  • Monitor storage tank levels and schedule batches to maintain appropriate inventory thresholds
  • Order raw materials (bulk and packaged) as needed, in coordination with Materials Manager and SCM planning
  • Prepare and maintain production paperwork including batch sheets, tanker documentation, and inventory records
  • Execute PGI for tankers and troubleshoot SAP-related issues (e.g. insufficient quantities or transaction errors)
  • Liaise daily with the Production Supervisor to coordinate manpower, maintenance windows, batch sizes, and rework opportunities
  • Collaborate with:
  • Customer Service on new orders, changes, and delivery timelines
  • Materials Manager and SCM Planning for adjustments in material sourcing
  • Transportation Planner to align production with truck schedules, delays, or load time changes
  • Track and respond to incoming orders, especially urgent requests falling below ATP thresholds
  • Manage sample pail orders and ensure timely production and shipment
  • Communicate schedule adjustments and production status updates across departments
  • Support documentation for compliance, audits, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Perform other scheduling and coordination duties to support plant operations and customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years experience in production scheduling, planning, or manufacturing coordination
  • Strong familiarity with SAP transactions, PGI processes, and inventory monitoring
  • Knowledge of chemical manufacturing or related industrial environments is advantageous
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines
  • Proficient in Excel and ERP systems
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk through production areas, climb platforms, and visually inspect tank levels when needed
  • Must be able to wear PPE for site visits (respirators, hard hats, chemical suits, etc.)
  • Occasional bending, reaching, or carrying materials during operational checks
Work Environment:
  • Primarily office-based with frequent coordination across production and logistics departments
  • Periodic visits to manufacturing areas for production checks or troubleshooting
  • Flexibility to support urgent scheduling changes or off-shift needs
