- Recruit, lead, train and mentor a team of Test & Commissioning Engineers
- Audit and perform quality assurance of Test & Commissioning Engineers
- Investigate and recommend preventative actions for any Test & Commissioning near miss, or incidents.
- Carry out and document all tasks associated with the pre-commissioning / commissioning of the equipment.
- Be responsible in handing over a fully operational system for acceptance by the customer.
- Ensure health and safety procedures and standards are followed on site. Ensure all Health and safety documentation is filed, maintained and updated on site.
- Ensure commissioning schedules, handover and witnessing documents are updated, maintained, completed and filed / issued to project manager prior to project completion.
- Carry out factory acceptance testing, Site acceptance testing and customer witnessing.
- Ensure sites are cleared of equipment and materials / products prior to handover / completion.
- HND or equivalent in Engineering.
- At least 10-years working within the Power Industry.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal and ability to communicate effectively.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Full UK Driving license.
- Has good working knowledge of advanced protection schemes such as Distance, Differential etc.
- Is capable of preparing and troubleshooting substation interface related design.
- Capable of preparing configuration and settings files for ABB, Schneider, Siemens and GE relays.
- Capable of seeing through energisation of large scale connection projects.
- Experience with testing and commissioning of Power transformers.
