Children’s Residential Child Care Worker - Children's Residential HomeSalary :£11.90 per hour plus £60 sleep in rate (2on 4off shift pattern)Locations: Southport, Skelmersdale, Rainford, Tarleton, Garstang, Leyland, AughtonDo you want to make a difference to a young person’s life? Are you resilient and able to remain calm when faced with Challenging Behaviours?Exceptional care are seeking individuals to support young people on a 1:1 or 2:1 staffing ratio, in a Residential setting.TasksYour role as a Residential Child Care Worker:You will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people, and help towards the bright future they deserve; attending to their practical, physical and emotional needs. Safeguarding each young person at all times.You will provide a high standard of care and support, in a professional manner, to vulnerable young people, with challenging behaviour and emotional behavioural difficulties.You will develop a good working relationship with both children and young people and other outside agencies, and be the person that each child can trust through building positive relationships.You will be part of a team who work together to create a loving, stable environment to ensure each young person is achieving positive outcomes and learning experiences.Requirements
  • Level 3 or 4 Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent – or willing to work towards
  • 1 years’ experience supporting young people in a children’s residential setting
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence - preferred
