This is a full-time on-site role for an Operations/Dispensing Assistant, located in London. Support the smooth running of our pharmacy operations by assisting with dispensing, packing, stock control and dispatch. You’ll play a key role in ensuring every order is prepared accurately, safely and compliantly for a UK distance-selling pharmacy that compounds unlicensed topical medicines. This role is central to keeping materials and medicines flowing, records complete, and the site inspection-ready at all times.Key responsibilitiesDispensing & production support
  • Assist with prescription picking and preparation under pharmacist supervision
  • Support production and packing of personalised medicines
  • Maintain accuracy in labelling, batch checks and packaging
Goods-in & stock management
  • Receive deliveries: check identity, quantity, expiry/re-test dates and condition
  • Store items correctly; quarantine and record any non-conforming stock
  • Maintain accurate inventory, stock rotation and replenishment
Dispatch & logistics
  • Pick and pack orders accurately to prescription and dispatch lists
  • Prepare and dispatch shipments on time to patients and couriers
  • Log returns and manage waste in line with licensed disposal processes
Quality & compliance
  • Complete accurate records and logs (goods-in, cleaning, pick/pack, temperatures, returns)
  • Follow SOPs, safety requirements and GPhC/MHRA standards at all times
  • Report deviations, defects, or safety issues promptly
Teamwork
  • Work closely with Pharmacists, Operations and Production teams
  • Support a collaborative culture in a fast-paced start-up environment
RequirementsWhat you’ll bring (essential)
  • Fluent English speaking and reading; clear written communication
  • Proven experience in dispensary support, healthcare operations, or stock/warehouse handling
  • High attention to detail with counts, lot numbers, expiry dates and labelling
  • Basic IT skills (email, spreadsheets, stock/label systems)
  • Reliable, safety-first mindset, good timekeeping and organisation
Desirable
  • Previous experience in pharmacy, healthcare logistics, or GMP/GDP environment
  • Interest in dermatology, personalised medicine or healthcare innovation
