We are working with a leading global consultancy, looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its specialist Data Centre MEP team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on hyperscale and colocation data centre projects across the UK and Europe, delivering technical solutions that support major global tech clients.You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team alongside architects, civil and structural engineers, and building services specialists to deliver complex, high-value projects from early concept through to construction.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate electrical design on small to mid-sized data centre projectsCollaborate closely with internal MEP teams and external consultantsDeliver across the full project lifecycle (RIBA Stages 2–5)Use design tools including ETAP, Revit, Relux/Dialux, AutoCAD and MS ProjectLiaise with contractors, clients, and project managers, ensuring delivery within scopeConduct site inspections, feasibility reports, and stakeholder presentationsRequirementsDegree-qualified in Electrical or Building Services EngineeringChartered or actively working toward chartership with IET or CIBSEExperience with data centre or mission-critical facility designStrong knowledge of UK and European electrical standards and regulationsExcellent communication skills and a collaborative mindsetWillingness to travel domestically and internationally as neededDesirableSecurity clearance or ability to obtain itExperience delivering BIM-coordinated projectsUnderstanding of sustainable and resilient design in critical environmentsWhat’s on OfferThe chance to work on some of the most significant data centre projects globallyCareer progression and professional development supportFlexible hybrid workingA diverse and supportive working cultureThis is a great opportunity for someone who’s either already working in the data centre space or has experience in industrial/mission-critical environments and wants to break into this high-growth sector.
