We’re seeking a Used Vehicle Performance Manager (Car and Van) to support the day-to-day operations and performance of the used car and van vehicle department.The Opportunity:As Used Vehicle Performance Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Used Vehicle Performance, and other Used Vehicle Performance Managers to ensure we’ve got the right stock in the right place at the right time. You’ll be responsible for guiding purchasing decisions at site level, ensuring that vehicle profiles align with local demand and business objectives.From acquisition to online presentation, you’ll oversee stock performance across the virtual showroom – analysing engagement data, spotting underperforming units, and driving improvements that maximise visibility, appeal and relevancy. Working closely with site management, you’ll continuously shape and refine each location’s stock profile, helping us deliver excellent levels of quality into the business.The Accountabilities:
  • Stock Management: Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels in line with sales forecasts and market demand.
  • Stock Turn Optimisation: Support initiatives to improve stock turn rates, provide regular updates on stock performance and implement processes to reduce holding costs.
  • Vehicle Preparation: Oversee the preparation of used vehicles to ensure they are compliant with required standards, and maintain high standards of vehicle presentation.
  • Pricing and Market Dynamics: Monitor market trends and competitor activity to support competitive pricing strategies, and assist in the development of promotional campaigns to drive sales.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular performance reports, and analyse data to identify trends.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with site teams to support and guide then in achieving their used vehicle sales and operational objectives.
  • Customer Focus: Ensure an exceptional customer journey throughout the used vehicle sales process, aligning with Hendy Group’s high standards of service.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, OEM Partners and suppliers.
About You:To succeed as Used Vehicle Performance Manager (Car and Van) you will need:
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the automotive used vehicle sector or related industry.
  • Strong planning and prioritisation abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to analyse data and market trends to optimise stock turnover and profitability.
  • Clear communication skills for liaising with teams and presenting performance insights.
  • Commitment to aligning operations with customer needs and expectations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in listings, pricing and vehicle preparation.
