
Quality Engineer

- Investigate quality issues, performing root cause analysis and developing corrective actions using methodologies including 8D problem solving
- Collaborate with suppliers to continuously improve the quality of products and services provided to Collins Marston Green
- Act as key quality contact for customers, understanding requirements and resolving quality escapes and/or warranty concerns,
- Conduct thorough inspections of components in process and finished components to verify compliance with specifications and/or approved maintenance data
- Participate in internal quality audits to assess compliance with regulations, company standards and approved maintenance data
- Involvement in continuous improvement activities to drive site continuous improvement initiatives
- Collect and analyse quality data from internal and supplier sources to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Develop & report on Key Performance Indicators, undertaking trend analysis and working with stakeholders to address underperforming metrics.

- Experience: Industry specifics/insights, practical/hands-on skills that will be gained, exposure to the latest tools and technologies in the industry.
- A working understanding of aviation regulation and approvals. UK CAA / EASA Part 145, FAA, CAAC, AS9100, AS9110 & AS9120
- Previous experience in an aerospace MRO organization or OE manufacturing environment is advantageous
- Experience of manufacturing processes and measurement techniques
- Experienced in conducting investigations with full root cause analysis and structuring corrective actions
- An understanding of quality methodologies such as 8D problem solving
- Experience of validating First Article Inspections Reports
- Experience in working with bespoke computer-based records systems and tools including SAP, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject area or equivalent experience
