Due to Archives Revealed funding from The National Archives, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a project archivist to join our team, helping to unlocking our historical archive and make it more available in new inclusive ways to new audiences. This will be achieved through the cataloguing of personal archives of individuals involved in botany in the British Empire, and a series of co-designed Community workshops led by arts facilitators. The archivist will also co-curate a small exhibition and booklet about how Communities can access and use Kew’s archives. (PDF, 230.32kb)More detailsWith a postgraduate qualification in archives management or equivalent experience in a paid position, you will have demonstrable experience of cataloguing archives into archive software, in a professional post and comprehensive understanding of the relevant standards. You will have experience of working with the general public and the ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and time management skills.
