- You will join our brilliant Maintenance Team and carry out the day-to-day maintenance of the Home and its services and grounds/gardens, to ensure that it is safe and desirable place for our residents to live and team members to work in.
- This will involve a combination of completing regular maintenance checks, day to day maintenance tasks, completing more superficial refurbishment projects (e.g. bedrooms & living spaces) autonomously, and periodically assisting the Maintenance & Refurbishment Support Manager with more involved refurbishment projects (e.g. ensuites, bathrooms, laundry rooms etc.)
- You will be responsible to ensure the action plans of all the annual Bedroom & Communal maintenance audits are completed by the Compliance Support Manager are signed off within 3 months and rooms scores are in line with the latest quarterly targets.
- Ensure available rooms are decorated and turned around within 3 days of being vacant and ensure the exterior of our care home is always presentable and homely.
- General maintenance knowledge / experience as per checklist in the Job Description (e.g. minor electrical, decorating, plumbing, joinery work etc.)
- Hold a clean driving licence and use of a car
- Live within 20 minutes of the Home
- Modest IT skills, including ability to email, print documents, scan documents, save documents with appropriate file names and fill in basic excel spreadsheets. Training can be provided for this if necessary
- Hold a Level 2 or above (e.g. in Maintenance or Facilities Management)
- Well over half our team have a relevant Diploma qualification with another fifth currently studying for one
