The role will involve working with all stakeholders both internal and external in delivering Sales, New products, and Customer support.MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive continuous improvement throughout all aspect of operation and evolve the standards for a CI culture.
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to improve and enhance quality ensuing sustainable root cause analysis across the business.
  • Support New Product Introduction projects to ensure all new products are delivered on time to deadlines and sustainably to support long term efficiency and future product developments.
  • Provide technical support for the supply chain to ensure high quality, right first-time sourcing from approved vendors.
  • Lead new process innovation projects to ensure manufacturing and production processes stay “ahead of the curve” and increase automation opportunities.
  • Within the team, run VAVE, Kaizen, and OPEX projects to drive down costs, improve production processes, guarantee right first-time quality, and product lead times.
  • Work closely and support all production areas to maximise efficiency in delivering the production plan.
  • Drive team culture to set the standard of operational excellence and capability within the business.
ESSENTIAL AND DESIRABLE SKILLSRequired Essential Skills:
  • Relevant management experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with other functional areas
  • End to end knowledge of production processes
  • Experience in driving Operational Excellence
  • Experience in driving new products into production to tight deadlines
  • Ability to liaise with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior management
  • Ability to lead teams and work positively with other areas of the business
  • Significant experience working in an organisation that has successfully used one or more continuous improvement methodologies (lean manufacturing, six sigma, etc.)
  • Team player, able to work in a concurrent global team
  • Experience of Engineering change workflows through to fruition
  • Self-motivated and takes ownership with a proactive approach with the ability to work independently, maintaining team communication
  • Experience leading and developing technical teams
  • Display a flexible approach and able to handle frequent interruptions, meet tight deadlines, and handle conflict in an effective manner.
Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of Navision ERP/MRP system
  • Knowledge of Metrology products and market expectations
  • Metrology Experience
