And we're looking for the best people to be part of it.Join a team of experts and progressive thinkersWe are currently on the lookout for a Paralegal/Land Registry Clerk to join our Property (Housing) team in Leeds on a full-time, fixed term contract for 6 months.Bevan Brittan has strong recognition in the independent legal directories - Chambers & Partners and Legal 500. In both guides we are consistently ranked in the top tier for our practices across the UK, with multiple individuals recognised as leading lawyers.The roleThe Housing team act mostly for Housing Associations, providing advice on a wide range of property matters, predominantly focused on sales for our Housing Association clients (shared ownership, re-sale price covenant, outright sales, and land disposals). We are looking for someone to join our busy team and assist with submitting SDLT returns land registry applications for our clients.What we are looking for from youApplicants must be able to demonstrate previous property experience and have a clear understanding of property transactions. Experience of lodging documents such as transfers and leases at the land registry is highly desirable.The team is a very supportive environment which will provide on the job training for social housing aspects of the role, and you will receive ongoing day to day support from the more experienced lawyers.Previous Social Housing experience is not therefore essential for this role, but an interest in Social Housing would be a real advantage.Attention to detail, efficiency and the ability to use your own initiative will be essential for this position, and the ability to work to challenging deadlines will be imperative.Work with approachable peopleWhen we ask colleagues what makes Bevan Brittan a great place to work, the most popular thing they say is "the people".
