
Monitoring Centre Operative

- Collecting intelligence information and evidence to support internal departments and external partners, including the police.
- Reassuring and safeguarding the public by monitoring CCTV systems across Ashford, paying close attention to detail, and always employing safeguarding best practice.
- Taking on additional duties, outside of your job description, where required to provide assistance in the wider organisation.
- Following procedures in your day-to-day work, undertaking any additional training as necessary.
- General administration and record keeping.
- Taking enquiries, using initiative to ensure these are dealt with in a suitable and timely manner, as well as carrying out reviews and download requests.
- Occasionally there will be a requirement to act as a witness in court.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to employ initiative and ownership in their work.
- Prior experience in a similar setting working with CCTV, with knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety practices.
- Capabilities to remain calm under pressure, and in potentially distressing situations.
- An SIA License in public CCTV surveillance is a strong advantage.
- Flexibility due to the requirement to work on a rota basis, including unsociable hours, weekends and bank holidays.
