We are currently partnered with a leading global consultancy that is expanding its Data Centre division across EMEA. This business is a recognised industry leader, delivering world-class infrastructure projects for some of the world’s most influential technology firms. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Director to join their senior leadership team.This is a remote-first role with flexibility to collaborate across the UK, Europe, and globally.The OpportunityAs Mechanical Director, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic growth of the data centre sector. You’ll lead and develop a team of technical specialists, shape project delivery standards, and partner with major clients across hyperscale and co-location markets. This is both a leadership and client-facing position, offering the chance to influence at the highest level while driving technical excellence.Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Director role:Lead, develop, and inspire a growing Data Centre Mechanical team across EMEAShape and deliver technical strategies, standards, and benchmarks for complex projectsPartner with major tech clients, ensuring their evolving needs are met with innovative MEP solutionsDrive business development initiatives, expanding client relationships and supporting work-winning effortsOversee project delivery, risk management, KPIs, and commercial performance for large-scale programmesMentor and coach the next generation of engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and team developmentAbout YouProven track record in delivering mechanical projects within data centres or mission critical environmentsLeadership experience with a focus on technical excellence and team developmentStrong business development and client-facing background across the UK and ideally EMEAChartered Engineer (CIBSE or equivalent) with a degree in a relevant disciplineDeep knowledge of mechanical design, engineering practices, and financial management of projectsExcellent communicator, confident in building strong client relationships at senior levelWhy This Role?Work with a global consultancy that is investing heavily in the data centre sectorLead high-profile projects with some
