- Assist with client account management and reconciliations
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain ledgers
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Manage purchase orders and expense claims
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
- Process monthly payroll for all staff (including starters, leavers, and contractual changes)
- Calculate statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP)
- Verify tax codes and deductions (PAYE, NI, pensions)
- Liaise with HMRC and pension providers
- Maintain accurate payroll records and generate reports
- Respond to payroll queries from staff and external stakeholders
- Experience in both finance and payroll functions
- Proficiency in accounting and payroll software (e.g., Xero, Sage)
- Strong Excel and IT skills
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- £25,000 - £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
