An opportunity has arisen for a talented Banking & Finance Associate to join a leading law firm in London. The role focuses on leveraged finance transactions, working closely with a senior partner known for their pragmatic and commercial approach to acquisition, corporate, and real estate finance.
  • Advise borrowers, sponsors, and financial institutions on leveraged and acquisition finance transactions, including cross-border deals.
  • Draft and negotiate loan agreements, intercreditor agreements, security documents, and other finance-related documentation.
  • Support private equity clients on financing aspects of M&A and buyout transactions.
  • Assist in structuring complex debt arrangements, including bespoke financing solutions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas including corporate, real estate, and restructuring.
  • Manage client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of market developments and regulatory changes impacting the leveraged finance space.

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent jurisdiction).
  • Post-qualification experience in banking & finance, with a strong emphasis on leveraged finance.
  • Experience acting for borrowers and/or lenders in acquisition finance transactions.
  • Strong technical skills and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A pragmatic, solutions-oriented mindset.
