Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are currently looking for University students or graduates who are interested in working with Children as a Teaching Assistant within Primary Schools in Bristol.This is a great opportunity for someone with a background working with children or who has completed child based placements throughout university.This is a great opportunity to work in a thriving and supportive environment that can offer the opportunity for professional development and a chance to work with a supportive team from whom you can learn, develop and grow.The RoleThe Primary Schools we work closely with are looking for candidates to work closely with SEN children, support educational development and support throughout classroom activities.The successful candidate will be working 8:30 to 3:30 on an ad-hoc, part-time or full-time basis depending on your availability for work.You will be expected to:
  • Great communication with the Class Teacher.
  • Have high expectations for the pupil.
  • Be adaptable and engaging to support different pupils.
  • Build strong relationships with the pupil and their family.
  • Use your initiative to adapt activities to meet the pupils needs.
