The VacancyOur client is looking for a personal assistant for their granddaughter, who requires support with personal care. Our client's granddaughter is non-mobile, non-verbal, visually impaired and has Epilepsy. She is also PEG fed.The successful candidate should be patient, proactive and have quick reactions. Our client's granddaughter enjoys sensory play, trips to the park, nursery rhymes and stories, so would respond well to a personal assistant who is creative.The role consists of supporting our client's granddaughter with feeding, oral suctioning, assisting with physio and some occasional home assistance. Experience administering medication and supporting individuals with Epilepsy is desired but not essential - full training will be provided.The role is 20 hours per week, to be worked 8am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday ideally, paid at £12.66ph. The role is based in Scunthorpe.Due to the provision of personal care, our client has the right to request a carer of a specific sex.
