Job Title: Control Room OperativesLocation: Ledbury, HerefordshireContract: Temporary Ongoing (start at mid or end of AUGUST)Pay Rate: £14.30 per hour+ 40pw Attendance Bonusgap personnel Gloucester are recruiting for 1 Control Room Operatives on a temporary ongoing basis based in Ledbury, Herefordshire.The UK’s leading pub, cider & beer company is currently looking for Mill Operatives to join them on a temporary basis in August 2025. Working at their Ledbury Mill, you will be working within a cider production environment where you must be aware of and maintain a high level of food safety and hygiene procedures. Your role will involve monitoring, guiding apple production line using various processes to help in the grading, sorting and extraction of the apple concentrate to make some of the UK’s best-known cider brands. A high level of attention is required for the role as you will be expected to be keep up with the fast pace of the milling process.Duties & responsibilities will include: - (FULL TRAINING PROVIDED IN THE FIRST MONTH)
  • Monitoring CCTV cameras showing machines
  • Using walkie talkies to assign workers to varies duty's
  • Notifying team if any issues arises
  • Give instructions on whole production line processes from start to finish
  • Maintain a flexible approach to work to meet team-based work requirements.
  • Observe and maintain safety levels with particular attention to machinery and electrical equipment.
  • Maintain a strict level of personal and workplace hygiene
  • As part of a team manage time and plan the schedule of work
  • Work as part of a busy team, but also be resourceful and make independent decisions as required
The ideal candidate must be able to: -
  • Participate in the running of the team and the site as a whole
  • Work as part of a team and actively participate in team decision making
  • Show initiative, and work independently without supervision
  • Take on responsibility, and complete tasks set through to the end
  • Share and exchange information with others
  • Demonstrate a good level of English and computer literacy
Working hours are Monday – Friday (rotational)
  • Start 18th or 20th of August -Monday- Friday 08:00-16:00 through August while training
  • From September Shifts 6am – 6pm & 6pm – 6am Monday to Friday weekly rotational
  • 57.5 hours per week
  • Attendance Bonus = £40 per full week attended (payable on the last week of assignment)
Pay rate details:£14.30 per hour+ £40pw Attendance BonusBasic rate of £13 plus a 10% performance bonus (£1.30) which will be paid if tasks are completed to the expected standard.+£40pw Attendance Bonus which will be paid if tasks are completed to the expected standard.Successful candidates we be a pro-active team worker, liaising and co-operating with all members of staff.
