- Essential Car Documentation- This post is a designated Essential Car User. Therefore, you must always hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for use at work. You will receive the Essential Car User Allowance.
- Qualification - A qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, BSc, MSc or equivalent) or significant demonstrable experience or served a recognised apprenticeship of directly related demonstrable experience in the Building Construction
- Trusted Assessor Level 2 (or working towards/prepared to undertake)
- DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance - this post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (amended in 2013). Appointable candidates will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Information provided by you or the DBS will be dealt with in a confidential manner and in accordance with the DBS Code of Practice which can be viewed
- Able to work in a fast-moving office environment with a keen ability to listen and act on what you have heard and read
- Able to convert requests, reports and information into drawing format utilising a CAD system, you need to be a proficient surveyor being able to work in all areas of housing types.
- Your construction knowledge needs to be up to date with current practices and statutory requirements, able to prepare priced schedules and contract documentation, undertake site visits with a view on quality control, site inspections of programmed construction work and cost control of multiple schemes.
- A good communicator, able to deal with building contractors’ members of the public, tenants, local councillors, MP’s and other official bodies and stakeholders on a daily basis. You will be able to make decisions based upon detailed Policies, Procedures and Practices.
