Do you have a background in sports or coaching and a desire to help students succeed outside of mainstream education?We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join an Alternative Provision School in Liverpool, working 1:1 with secondary students who face challenges in traditional school settings. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your love of sport to inspire, engage, and support students who need it most.Key Responsibilities:Provide individual support to secondary-aged students to help them overcome barriers to learning.Use sports—particularly football and other physical activities—as a means of building rapport and increasing student engagement.Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), such as ADHD, using strategies tailored to their individual needs.Encourage academic, social, and emotional development through daily guidance and mentoring.Help foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.Ideal Candidate:Background in sports coaching or a strong passion for sport, with the ability to use it as a tool for engagement and personal development.Experience working with young people with challenging behaviour and SEN, particularly ADHD.Creative, adaptable, and proactive in developing positive strategies for behaviour and learning.Committed to building strong, supportive relationships with students.Previous experience in alternative provision, SEN environments, or working with disengaged youth is highly desirable.Qualifications & Skills:Experience in educational or youth work settings, especially with students excluded or struggling in mainstream education.Knowledge of behavio
