- Previous experience within a freight forwarding or customs leadership position
- Proven track record in customer relationship management.
- Experience in supply chain or logistics operations (bulk sectors desirable).
- Previous team management or supervisory experience.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and problem-solve effectively.
- Excellent communication and people management skills.
- Commercial awareness and ability to identify growth opportunities.
- Confident using logistics systems and reporting tools.
- Ensure seamless delivery of logistics and customs services to customers.
- Support and guide the team to maintain high standards of service and compliance.
- Act as the key point of contact for bulk, steel, customs, and automotive customers when required.
- Oversee account management and workload distribution within the team.
- Identify and follow up on new business opportunities in collaboration with the commercial team.
- Liaise with ports, transport providers, and rail operators to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor and improve service margins, resolve invoice queries, and optimise efficiencies.
- Maintain accurate customs, VAT, storage, and discharge reports.
- Drive continuous improvement across systems and processes.
- Support the use of IT systems for planning, delivery, and performance tracking.
