- Client Portfolio Management:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, including SMEs and large blue-chip organizations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
- Understand clients' business needs and provide tailored financial advice and solutions
- Conduct regular client meetings to discuss financial performance, tax planning, and business strategies
- Identify and pursue opportunities for additional services within the existing client base
- Accounts Preparation:
- Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards
- Review and analyze financial statements, identifying areas for improvement or potential risks
- Prepare management accounts and financial reports as required by clients
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures for accounts preparation
- Tax Preparation and Planning:
- Manage the preparation and submission of corporate and personal tax returns
- Provide strategic tax planning advice to minimize tax liabilities for clients
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant updates to clients
- Coordinate with HMRC on behalf of clients for tax-related matters
- Identify and implement tax-efficient structures for clients' businesses
- File Review and Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough reviews of account files prepared by junior staff members
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to team members to improve the quality of work
- Implement and maintain robust quality control procedures for all client engagements
- Participate in internal and external quality assurance reviews
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, including trainees and newly qualified accountants
- Delegate tasks effectively and manage workloads within the team
- Contribute to the professional development of team members through training and coaching
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery to clients
- Participate in recruitment and performance evaluation processes for team members
