Blue Arrow Bristol are recruiting a 3.5 tonne delivery driver to work for a pharmaceutical company based from their depot in Avonmouth (BS11). The role is working Tuesday to Friday 4am starts till around 2pm.The role will involve completing a trunk run to Caerphilly and completing several drops in either South Wales or around Bristol area afterwards. There will be hardly any heavy lifting involved.The position will lead to permanent employment for the right candidate.Candidates will need to complete an online induction on Monday, then go out with one of their permanent staff for 3-4 days to learn the job and start working by yourself afterwards. The induction and training are paid for as long as you complete a full week after the completion of induction/training.The pay rate for the role is £13.93 per hour, overtime after 48 hours weekly will be paid at £20.90 per hour.As a 3.5T delivery driver, your role will involve:
  • Driving a Mecedes Sprinter van and completing a trunk run to Caerphilly
  • Completing a few drops in South Wales or Bristol afterwards
  • Completing necessary paperwork
  • Using PDA to record deliveries
  • Providing excellent customer service
Candidate Requirements:
  • Category B UK driving licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences
  • Previous experience in a delivery driving role
  • Good level of spoken and written English
  • Great customer service skills
  • Ability to get to Avonmouth for 4am starts
