In this role, you'll take ownership of machine performance, ensuring maximum uptime, efficient changeovers, and continuous improvement across the line.How You Will Make an Impact:Provide hands-on technical support across all production areasEnsure quick and efficient equipment setup, changeovers, and breakdown responseLead and optimise maintenance programmes to maximise equipment uptimeImplement improvements to increase machine efficiency and outputMinimise changeover times through training, procedures, and equipment modificationsRespond rapidly to breakdowns and eliminate root causes of recurring issuesSupport new equipment and product introductions with technical documentation and validationMaintain compliance with GMP and regulatory standards through accurate documentationWhat We Are Looking For:Experience in production or manufacturing engineering rolesStrong knowledge of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement techniquesAbility to optimise changeovers and drive efficiency (e.g. SMED)Proven skills in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiativesUnderstanding of GMP, MHRA, and BSI requirementsExcellent communication and collaboration across teamsAbility to support new equipment and product launches from a technical perspectiveEngineering qualification or equivalent hands-on technical experienceHow We Care For You:At Thornton & Ross our purpose “Caring for people's health as a trusted partner” motivates us every day.
