Salary: Circa £45,000 + Excellent Benefits including Unlimited Annual LeaveAbout the RoleWe are seeking an Assistant PQS (Professional Quantity Surveyor) to join a highly respected client-side consultancy based in Truro, Cornwall. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual looking to progress their career within a supportive consultancy environment.You will have the opportunity to work across a wide range of sectors including healthcare, education, residential, commercial, industrial, and public realm projects, supporting high-profile clients such as local authorities.This is a flexible hybrid position, offering the freedom to work in the office as much or as little as you prefer, while delivering quality results and maintaining excellent client relationships.Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of multiple construction projects from inception to completion
- Collaborate with clients to ensure project objectives are met
- Support cost planning, budget management, and financial reporting
- Assist with tendering, contract administration, and procurement processes
- Liaise with contractors, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
- Work within both NEC and JCT contract frameworks
- Experience working client-side within a PQS or consultancy environment
- Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts is essential
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
