- Completing waste assessments and classification of mostly construction, demolition, and excavation wastes in general accordance WM3 and other related guidance
- Managing projects from start to finish, including handling of large data sets, preparing technical reports, managing project finances and liaising with Clients.
- Conduct occasional site visits to undertake sampling, inspection and/or supervision of waste generating practices.
- Working closely with other team members, as required, to deliver on a broad range of projects and increase your knowledge and skills in waste and resource management including:
- CL:AIRE DoW CoP Material Management Plans (MMPs),
- Environmental permits (applications, variations, and surrenders)
- Waste management plans, environment management plans
- Bespoke waste training packages
- A degree in Chemistry or a Geoscience-related subject (MSc preferred).
- Demonstrable experience and technical competence in waste classification and assessment in accordance with WM3 and other related guidance.
- Understanding and knowledge of waste legislation and policy in the UK.
- Experience within the contaminated land sector or working for an environmental consultancy would advantageous but not essential
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, eager to contribute to projects and the wider team.
- A valid UK driving licence and willing to spend some working days away from the office and home at times.
- Located within an hour of Bristol / Manchester.
