If so, this could be the role for you.As Waste Operations Manager you will lead the day to day operations and deliver a customer focussed, safe and efficient waste collection service. You be responsible for managing a supervisory team and oversee the day-to-day management of over 110 HGV drivers and waste loaders divided into 30 waste collection rounds. You will also be responsible for ensuring the delivery of annual in-house training takes place, as well as compliance with health & safety and road transport legislation at all times.You will take a lead role in ensuring that the statutory waste and recycling collection service, as well as a future charged garden waste service, is delivered on time, within budget and allocated resources. You will lead the operational teams and be responsible for ensuring the service meets local targets. You will also be part of a mangment team to esnure the Council delivers the national strategy on waste and recycling.The succesful candidate is expected to deliver positive change management into operational delivery through employee engagement and leadership.The role is office based, although there may be requirments to make site visits to review operations, meet residents and other officers of the Council.
