As we continue to expand our digital capabilities, we are seeking a talented individual to join our ICT Centre of Excellence (CoE) team. We are seeking someone with a grounded understanding of Front-End Web Developer or Microsoft Power Platform. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on both front-end web development projects and Microsoft Power Platform solutions.You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing web-based solutions, integrations and applications to meet the evolving needs of the Council. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that enhances user experience, streamline business processes, and drive innovation.The Council is currently undergoing a period of positive transformation and growth, focusing on developing its people and services to be the best they can be.   • Lead on the technical lifecycle associated with Microsoft Power Platform, DCC Web presence and other associated technologies, including procurement, development and support ensuring that they are functioning correctly and available in line with agreed service levels.
  • Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX designs into responsive and interactive web sites.
  • Ensure that web applications adhere to accessibility standards (such as WCAG) and legislation to make them usable by people with disabilities. Implement accessibility features and conduct accessibility audits to identify and address issues.
  • Work closely with the development team to integrate cookie management solutions into new and existing websites and web applications.
  • Integrate and test user interfaces, systems, and programme components.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing front end / backend web development, resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Influence and guide the future direction of web and applications development.
  • Utilise Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to design and deploy custom business applications and workflow automations. (Desirable)
  • Customize and extend existing Power Platform applications to meet specific business requirements, integrating with other systems as needed. (Desirable)
Experience:
  • Degree equivalent and/or equivalent recognised ICT professional qualification and/or relevant experience. This includes ITIL4, Prince 2 and any Microsoft qualifications.
  • Industry recognised qualification or certification and/or relevant experience. For Example, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, and system integration through APIs.
  • Experience of developing with an Enterprise-level Content Management System.
  • Experience of designing and developing solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI etc.) (Desirable)
  • Evidence of recent and on-going continuous professional and personal development.

  • £37,339 - £40,638 annual salary
  • 27 days of annual leave plus another 5 once you reach 5 years of continuous service.
