Pay Rates:Friday: £12.21 per hourSaturday: £17.22 per hourSunday: £22.34 per hourJob Description:Somerset NHS is looking for reliable and hardworking Deep Cleaners to join the facilities team at Yeovil District Hospital on a part-time weekend basis. This is an ongoing opportunity, ideal for those looking to supplement existing work with regular weekend shifts.As a Deep Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining high hygiene standards by performing thorough cleaning of hospital wards and surrounding areas. Please note: these areas will not be occupied by patients during cleaning.Main Duties Include:Deep cleaning hospital wards (post-patient discharge)Cleaning bathrooms, toilets, sinks, and tiled areasCleaning under beds, bed frames, and high-touch pointsEmptying bins and ensuring proper waste disposalUsing appropriate PPE and cleaning materials (training provided)Following NHS infection control procedures and safety standardsRequirements:Must be available to work all 3 days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) when scheduledAble to commit to 1–2 full weekends per monthPrevious cleaning experience is preferred but not essentialReliable, punctual, and able to work independentlyMust be comfortable with hospital cleaning duties, including bathrooms and under-bed cleaningMust follow strict hygiene and infection control guidelinesAbility to pass a DBS check (or willingness to apply)Additional Info:This role is ongoing, with the potential to become a regular part of your scheduleCan be done alongside another job, as long as full availability for the 3 weekend days is guaranteedFull training and uniform will be providedIf this role is permanent, gap personnel is operating as the employment agency.
