As a Case Typist, you will be an integral part of the Case Management Team. Reporting directly to the Case Manager, you'll provide essential typing and administrative support that ensures the efficient operation of various business areas. You'll be using the Niche Record Management System to deliver high-quality service.Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Assist the Case Team by checking Prosecution Files for accuracy and liaising with submitting officers as needed.
- Document Management: Scan documents and link them onto the Record Management System. Monitor the return of forms and allocate tasks accordingly.
- Typing Duties: Accurately type all relevant documentation, including transcription of recorded interviews, ensuring compliance with court requirements.
- Media Handling: Manage the transit and storage of hard copies of case files and multimedia evidence related to pre-charge and prosecution files.
- General Administration: Handle incoming mail and assist with various administrative tasks as required.
- PNC Checks: Conduct necessary checks in accordance with CASE File requirements for defendants and civilian witnesses.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- IT Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Applications and experience using databases. Typing skills of at least 35 words per minute are essential.
- Clerical Experience: Background in administrative tasks including filing, indexing, and typing various documents with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication Skills: Ability to liaise effectively with both external agencies and internal departments, both verbally and in writing.
- Team Player: Proven experience working in a collaborative environment, demonstrating discretion, sensitivity, and a self-motivated approach.
- Audio Typing: Ability to audio type or a willingness to learn.
