The firms culture is modern, collaborative, and driven by continuous improvement led by a progressive senior management team.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and ambitious Conveyancing Solicitor (7-10 years PQE) to take on the role of Head of Conveyancing. This is a key leadership position for someone ready to step up and drive the strategic direction, compliance, and operational excellence of a busy, growing residential property department.The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day running of the team, manage a personal caseload, implement best practices, and play a vital role in expanding the department's capabilities and reputation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the residential conveyancing department, ensuring smooth operation of workflows and high service standardsSupervise and support junior solicitors, paralegals, and administrative staff within the teamOversee a diverse range of residential property transactions including freehold, leasehold, new builds, remortgages, and transfers of equityManage your own caseload while balancing leadership dutiesMonitor and ensure compliance with CQS standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policiesIdentify opportunities to enhance efficiency and client experience through AI tools and legal tech platformsLiaise with senior management on strategic planning, recruitment, performance metrics, and business developmentContribute to maintaining and strengthening relationships with estate agents, brokers, and panel lendersRequirementsQualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 7-10 years PQE in Residential ConveyancingProven experience managing a full residential conveyancing caseload independentlyPrior supervisory or team leadership experience preferredStrong knowledge of compliance, risk management, and CQS requirementsTech-savvy, with an interest in innovation and process improvementExcellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skillsHighly organised, commercially aware, and client-focusedWhy Join This Firm?Lead a thriving department within a progressive and tech-forward firmBe part of an organisation ranked Top 30 nationally for Family Law and gaining national traction in property servicesWork with state-of-the-art technology and AI systems that streamline legal processesJoin a supportive, collaborative team of 14 professionals in a modern Romford officeCompetitive salary and genuine opportunities for further career progression
