Passenger Assistant - Nottingham, UK - £15.82 per hour Hourly. Initial 2-month contractSeven Resourcing is seeking a dynamic Passenger Assistant to work in the bustling city of Nottingham. This exciting opportunity begins in September, with an initial contract of two months. The position pays £15.82 per hour via umbrella and £12.26 via PAYE, involving 20 hours per week on a split shift from 07:30-09:30 and 14:30-16:30, Monday to Friday. What you will do:
  • Collaborate with the Fleet Operations team to meet service plans and objectives.
  • Ensure the safe transportation of all passengers, prioritising their welfare and safety.
  • Adhere to safe practices, especially when assisting wheelchair users.
  • Operate vehicles following strict policies, procedures, and guidance.
  • Manage documentation related to vehicle operations diligently.
  • Wear protective clothing and PPE as required.
  • Provide support services as directed by Day Services management.
  • Respond promptly to emergency or urgent situations by operating fleet vehicles.
  • Utilise the nominated communication system effectively.
  • Collect fares, issue tickets, and manage cash flow in accordance with NCC policy.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness to a high standard.
  • Comply with legislative requirements regarding drivers' hours regulations, including using tachographs if needed.
Essential criteria:
  • Full, clean driving licence with category D.
  • Manual Handling training.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision.
  • Emergency First Aid Qualification.
  • Knowledge of wheelchair securing techniques.
