Position Type: PermanentNavartis is currently working with a leading infrastructure contractor who is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join their team and play a key role in driving health, safety, and environmental excellence across rail and wider infrastructure operations in the South West region.This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing HSQE team within a well-established organisation undergoing continued growth in the rail sector. The position will suit an experienced H&S professional who enjoys a balance of site engagement, client liaison, and strategic input.Key Responsibilities:Act as the key point of contact for health & safety matters within the infrastructure division, with a primary focus on rail projectsConduct internal audits, inspections and ensure compliance with company IMS and industry standardsAdvise senior leadership on legal compliance and best practicesLead on accident and incident investigations, identifying root causes and driving improvementsSupport delivery teams with project-specific risk assessments and safe systems of workCollaborate with client HSQE teams to ensure a joined-up approach to safety on joint ventures and frameworksDeliver behavioural safety programmes and toolbox talks alongside the L&D functionMonitor and close out non-conformances and support continuous improvement initiativesIdeal Candidate Will Have:Strong background in H&S management within the rail or wider infrastructure sectorNEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and IOSH (Certified or Chartered)Demonstrable experience with site audits, risk assessments and safe systems of workTrack record of liaising with regulatory bodies, clients and operational teamsConfident in leading investigations and reporting on findingsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approachFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionallyWhat’s in it for you?Competitive salary & annual bonus schemeCompany share options and pension contributions23+ days holiday (increasing with service) plus bank holidaysFlexible working optionsPrivate GP access, employee wellbeing services & flu vaccinationsGym membership discountsCareer progression opportunities including leadership development programmesApply now or contact Navartis to find out more about this excellent opportunity to make a real impact in a growing and forward-thinking organisation.
