- TheChildren's Home Enteral Nutrition (HEN) Servicefor children with Lambeth, Southwark, or Lewisham GPs
- TheLewisham Community Dietetic Servicefor Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Dietitian with significant experience in paediatric dietetics, preferably in HEN and SEND with leadership and management experience
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

- To be responsible for co-ordinating the strategic direction for service development liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
- To provide clinical leadership and operational management to secure a high standard of care.
- To provide autonomous, specialist dietetic care and treatment to children on the caseload, working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team around the child
- This post will be based in Lewisham but will include working at and travelling to all hospital and community sites.

- oBSc (Hons) or MSc in Dietetics or equivalent
- oCurrent registration with Health and Care Professions Council
- oMember of British Dietetic Association
- oPostgraduate training in nutritional support and/or paediatrics
- oManagement qualification, experience of post graduate study or equivalent experience.
- oEvidence of ongoing professional development- professional portfolio
- oTraining in motivational interviewing or similar
- oMember of BDA specialist group
- oEvidence of significant experience in paediatric dietetics, including nutrition support, HEN and SEND
- oManagerial/supervisory experience
- oSignificant practitioner experience
- oSignificant operational experience of managing a service
- oSignificant experience of recruitment and selection, performance managing staff.
- oSignificant experience of workforce and business planning and implementing service developments
- oExperience of training students and other Healthcare Professionals.
- oSignificant experience of working as part of the multidisciplinary team
- oPrevious experience of conducting audits and improving quality of service
- oExperience in assessment, treatment and management of patients with complex feeding problems
- oExperience of managing own caseload
- oExperience of integrated working across organisational boundaries i.e., Acute and community; health, education and social care.
- oAbility to analyse and monitor activity data and budget reports.
- oAbility to analyse and problem solve complex clinical and non-clinical problems and demonstrate creativity in producing practical solutions.
- oManage own time effectively and delegate as necessary.
- oExperience of evaluating workforce development and skill mix.
- oAbility to meet deadlines and prioritise competing demands.
- oExperience of Change management and implementing service developments.
- oKnowledge of a range of methods to engage service users in service planning and development
- oDemonstrate the ability to communicate at all levels, from patients and carers to senior management level, across organisational boundaries.
- oAbility to negotiate and influence effectively.
- oAbility to deliver formal presentations to large groups.
- oAbility to negotiate and discuss complex and contentious issues
- oAbility to present complex facts and statistics which require interpretation and analysis.
- oExperience of using interpreters/advocates.
