We are working with a well-established provider of therapeutic children's services to recruit a Children's Home Deputy Manager for a solo placement home in Huddersfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a passionate and supportive team that is dedicated to transforming the lives of young people through high-quality, therapeutic residential care. Department: Residential Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Huddersfield Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum (inclusive of sleep night allowance) Shift Pattern: 2 days on / 4 days off (including sleep nights) What's on Offer: Clear routes for career progression and professional development BILD-accredited, fully paid induction training Access to an employee benefits app with discounts, online medical support, financial advice, and counselling An additional day off on your birthday Free use of a company holiday home in the Peak District A supportive, family-feel working environment that values fun, teamwork, and work-life balance Key Responsibilities: Supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home Supervising, leading, and developing a team of care staff Ensuring care practices meet Ofsted requirements, quality standards, and legislative frameworks Providing therapeutic, child-centred care to young people who may struggle in larger group settings Promoting safeguarding, equal opportunities, and a safe, nurturing environment Essential Requirements: Minimum 2 years' experience in a children's residential care home (within the last 5 years) At least 12 months' experience supervising/managing staff in a care setting Level 3 Diploma (or above) in Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, legislation, and quality standards Excellent communication and leadership skills Full UK driving licence Right to work in the UK with no restrictions Applicants must be over 21 (industry regulations) All offers are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and compliance with safer recruitment practices.
