AM2PMMaintenance Engineer – Electronics Manufacturer – Tamworth – Perm – £40-42k + OT, Benefits including EAP, Life cover x3 salary, Pension 5%ee+3%er, training and more – Rotating Shifts M to T 06:00-01:30or13.30-21.00/Fri 0600-12.00or12.30-19.00 + 0 and 1 Sat evry 6 wks and 1 night shift per year of 21.00-06.00This leading Electronic Engineering business produces circuit boards for a multitude of technology sectors including aerospace, space, military, communications and performance automotive to highlight a few.Main Role Responsibilities:Whilst this is a multi skilled role, your Electrical understanding and capabilities need to be strong, you will help ensure the demands of production commitments can be met and that swift and decisive reactions are taken.A typical day may be looking at schematic/wiring diagrams, working with sensors, drives or 3 phase motors, working with PLC’s, perhaps fault finding. Maybe you aren’t fully experienced in all these ares but know this is your career path and you have qualifications to help evidence this ie C&G, BTEC or NVQ.From Installations of new production equipment to preventative actions, you play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep of this busy plant.Further role responsibilities would show:- * Effectively communicate with manufacturing / operational personnel / management
  • Ensure that plant breakdowns are rectified as swiftly as possible.
  • Ensure root cause of the breakdown / failure is identified and instigate corrective actions
  • Maintain current and implement new PPM techniques autonomously
  • To achieve departmental performance KPI’s, through anticipating and prioritising scheduled work.
  • Flag any performance goals that may be at risk offering any solutions.
  • Ensure all work requests and rectification work is recorded on “Frontline” PC tool.
  • Ensure equipment performance and history data is effectively communicated.
  • To Maintain at all times, safe working conditions and practices in the Maintenance Department
  • To comply with the “Electricity at Work Regulations 1989”, the “Health and Safety at Work Act 1974” and company SHE policies.
  • To ensure good working order of the Maintenance Department tools, plant and safety equipment
  • Organise any maintenance, repair, overhaul and replacement as necessary.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to known and approved codes of practice.
  • Where necessary participate in contractor work standard of installation audits.
  • Monitor supplies of materials and spare parts. Implementing purchase orders where required.
  • To liaise with all equipment and spares suppliers as and when required.
  • To take responsibility to ensure own personal development
  • To accept ownership of the departmental image and appearance.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement activities including; 5S, Root cause analysis, 5Y, etc.
Qualifications and Experience Levels:Ideally 3 years Maintenance Engineer (with electrical bias) within a Manufacturing environmentMust have experience of safe systems of work – (as a minimum: permit to work, riskassessment, method statementHave experience of planned/preventative maintenance techniquesMust be willing to work flexible shift rotas and occasional night shift holiday cover.Additional desirable experience?HSE trainingKnowledge of the use and Implementation of Frontline SystemExperience of using Microsoft OfficeSalary, Benefits and Hours:
