We are proud to collaborate with the NHS, the leading provider of healthcare services in the UK, to support their recruitment needs and ensure the delivery of high-quality care to communities across the country.The Role: As a Network Technician within the NHS, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing the network infrastructure to support the delivery of healthcare services. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Data Center systems.Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, install, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement network upgrades, expansions, and migrations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and colleagues on network-related matters.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and changes to maintain accurate records and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Proven experience as a Network Technician or similar role, preferably within the healthcare sector.
- In-depth knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Data Center technologies and protocols.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are desirable.
