ABC Teachers is seeking an experienced Youth Worker to work in SEN primary and secondary schools in Coventry on a full time basis.About the role:
  • The Youth Worker will be supporting young people with special educational needs on a one-to-one basis.
  • Following the guidance of the teacher but knowing the student well enough to deal with any conflicts
  • Building a quick rapport with the students to support students educational, social and emotional development.

About you:
To be considered for the Youth Worker you will:
  • Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism and looked after children.
  • Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Sports coaching, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
  • Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
