Whether you honed your skills in a media agency, have a background in social media, press activity, corporate communications, or have previously worked in the corporate, public or charity sectors, this is your chance to apply your creativity and strategic thinking to a cause that makes a difference. Working across teams, you will craft compelling content, manage key stakeholders, and ensure Macmillan’s voice is clear, consistent, and trusted across multiple channels.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement insight-driven communications plans that engage and inform key audiences.
  • Create and deliver content across owned and earned channels, ensuring clarity and impact.
  • Build strong relationships with media, stakeholders, and internal teams to amplify Macmillan’s mission.
  • Manage reputational issues, providing expert advice and crisis response support.
  • Lead projects, work in matrix teams, and support strategic communications planning.
  • Evaluate and refine communications approaches to maximise reach and engagement.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Strong multi-disciplinary communications experience in a complex organisation. This could be in external (press and/or social media) or corporate communications.
  • Proven track record in strategic communications planning and execution.
  • Experience handling reputational issues and crisis communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
