We are seeking a talented Tooling Design Engineer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting new tooling projects, providing technical support for tool rooms and managing modification quotes. You will play a key part in ensuring robust and effective tool designs, collaborating closely with internal teams and international toolmakers to drive excellence in manufacturing.Based at their modern facility in Sawtry, this is a permanent position offering a supportive environment where professional growth and development are encouraged. You will gain exposure to international projects and be part of a company committed to innovation, quality, and technical expertise.Main Responsibilities:Ensure all duties are performed safely and efficiently in line with Health and Safety legislationProvide technical support to the Tool Room regarding tooling queriesDevelop general assemblies (GAs) from overseas sources to meet company standardsCollaborate with international toolmakers to ensure robust tool designsPrepare and modify customer 3D models for toolingSupport customer meetings and conference calls to develop product and tool filesAttend internal and external meetings related to current and future workParticipate in tool trials domestically and overseas, as requiredAdvise internal and external Design Departments on optimum tooling requirementsPerform mold flow analyses on new and existing components to improve processesProvide quotations for modifications based on customer filesManage external tooling work, ensuring all relevant information is communicatedUndertake other duties as required by the Head of EngineeringSkills/Experience:Proven experience in tooling design and developmentStrong knowledge of CAD software and 3D modellingExcellent technical and problem-solving skillsExperience liaising with international teams and suppliersStrong communication and organizational skillsUnderstanding of mold flow analysis and tooling processesWorking Hours:Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, with a 1-hour lunch breakBenefits:Opportunity to work on international projectsProfessional development and training supportCollaborative and innovative working environmentExposure to cutting-edge tooling technologies
