Here at Brenntag we are looking for an Internal Account Manager to join our Food and Nutrition team.This role requires the successful applicant to be on site Monday - Friday and can be located at any of our northern sites but the preference would be Leeds or Manchester.Objectives:To support the growth of our food business by building strong customer relationships and learning how to identify and develop sales opportunities. This role is ideal for someone with a background in customer service, sales support or purchasing who is looking to take the next step into a sales position.Role Responsibilities:Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers.Support the development of customer accounts by understanding their needs and offering suitable solutions.Assist in identifying new business opportunities and potential customers.Work closely with experienced Sales Managers to learn sales techniques and strategies.Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.Develop a basic understanding of our product range and how it meets customer needs.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction.Monitor competitor activity and share insights with the wider team.Required Experience:Experience in an external facing role (e.g., customer service, purchasing).Strong communication and interpersonal skills.A genuine interest in developing a career in sales.Willingness to learn about products, markets, and sales processes.External applicants – prior experience of internal sales/sales support.Personal Skills & Attributes:Friendly, confident, and approachable.Motivated by targets and personal development.Organised and able to manage time effectively.Curious and proactive in seeking out new opportunities.Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.Brenntag provides equal employment opportunities to qualified applicants and employees of all backgrounds and identities to create a workplace where difference is valued because it forms a resilient and more innovative organization.
