Closing Date: Sunday 21st September 20215About the Role:The Nightstop Coordinator role is busy and varied role, it involves working with young people from when they approach the service to when they find longer term accommodation. You will be responsible for being the first point of contact for all young people, assessing each young person’s needs and risks, finding short and long term housing options, organising the logistics of each Nightstop placement and making sure that each Nightstop placement is safe.You will also lead on the promotion of the service with the aim of recruiting new Nightstop volunteers. The role will be based in the Manchester office and cover referrals from young people in Greater ManchesterKey Responsibilities:
- Provide a welcoming and supportive service to young people at risk of homelessness
- Conduct needs and risk assessments and arrange Nightstop placements
- Support guests and volunteers through a 24-hour on-call service when required
- Recruit, onboard and engage new volunteer hosts
- Promote the service at events and meetings, building strong relationships with partners
- Maintain accurate records and support reporting processes
- Ensure safeguarding and health and safety requirements are met at all times
- Experience of working with vulnerable people or people experiencing homelessness
- Understanding of housing and homelessness legislation and safeguarding procedures
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Confidence in working collaboratively with a range of partners and stakeholders
- Flexibility to take part in an on-call rota and occasional evening or weekend work
