Head of Data & Analytics – Private EquityPermanent | London | HybridAn international private equity firm is seeking a Head of Data & Analytics to build and lead their data function. This newly created leadership role will shape the group’s data strategy and reporting framework, with close collaboration across investment, operations, and portfolio management teams.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a scalable data and reporting strategy across funds and portfolio companies.
  • Establish data governance frameworks and enhance internal analytics capabilities.
  • Lead data maturity assessments across funds and portfolio companies.
  • Drive adoption of BI tools and advanced analytics within portfolio operations.
  • Assess existing systems (e.g., iLevel, Investran, Microsoft Fabric) and recommend improvements.
  • Define team structure and resource needs to deliver on the data strategy.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience leading data or analytics functions in private markets, consulting, or high-growth businesses.
  • Deep knowledge of financial, operational, and commercial data in an investment context.
  • Proficient in modern data stacks (e.g., Python, R, Spark), BI tools (Power BI preferred), and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional stakeholder engagement and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications and data-driven value creation.
  • Experience with private equity value creation plans.
  • Exposure to diverse sectors and portfolio operating models.
