Job descriptionExperienced Teaching Assistant – Tameside:Are you a caring and resilient teaching assistant looking to make a difference in a new role? Prospero Teaching are currently seeking teaching assistants, who are experienced supporting SEN, to join a large SEN provision in the Tameside area from September.You will be supporting children aged 4-19 with complex learning disabilities, complex health needs and autism, providing a safe and calm learning environment tailored to each child’s needs. You are required to provide personal care, medication administration and moving and handling.Position Details:
  • Location: Tameside
  • Position: Experienced SEN TA
  • Type of Work: Temporary/Temp to Perm
  • Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: £95 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: September 2025
  • End date: Ongoing, Long-Term
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
  • Up to date Safeguarding training in the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Proof of qualification for Moving and Handling
  • Previous experience supporting complex needs, either child or adult
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
