- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Digital Marketing, Communications, Journalism) or significant experience in a similar digital content role.
- Strong understanding of SEO, content management systems (CMS), and digital marketing tools.
- Knowledge of content marketing best practices and online audience engagement strategies.
- Understanding of web analytics and content performance measurement tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights).
- Awareness of trends in social media platforms and digital content formats.
- Understanding of brand voice, tone, and messaging across different digital channels.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt style for different audiences and platforms.
- Proficiency in digital tools, including CMS, social media management platforms, and Google Analytics.
- Filming, photography and production experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading abilities to ensure content accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teams and departments to create cohesive content strategies.
- Time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Creativity and ability to generate fresh, innovative content ideas that resonate with audiences.
- Basic graphic design skills using tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva (preferred).
- Ability to analyse content performance and make data-driven decisions to improve results.
- Proven experience in creating and managing digital content across multiple channels (web, social media, email, etc.).
- Experience with SEO techniques and optimisation of content for search engines.
- Experience using content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, etc.).
- Previous experience managing social media platforms, including creating content calendars and community engagement.
- Experience in analysing digital content performance and providing actionable insights for improvement.
- Experience working within a team environment and collaborating with cross-functional departments.
- Experience with email marketing tools and content distribution.
- Develop and implement a digital content plan that aligns with the organisation’s marketing and communications goals.
- Devise creative campaigns which propel our channels forward and deliver our ambitions.
- Create and manage digital content across a range of platforms, primarily web and social
- Be the primary author of copy on the organisation’s website, but also support with blogs, newsletters, social media posts and other channels as required.
- Be the primary producer/commissioner of multi-media content including videos, infographics and other interactive elements to enhance engagement.
- Optimise content for SEO and user experience, ensuring it is easily discoverable, engaging, and informative.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, design, and communications, to ensure content meets audience needs and objectives.
- Analyse digital content performance using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor digital trends, industry best practices, and competitor activities to inform content strategies.
- Manage content calendars and ensure the timely delivery of content across multiple channels.
- Work closely with the digital marketing team to ensure content aligns with broader digital marketing campaigns.
- Support the organisation’s social media accounts, ensuring consistent messaging and engagement with followers.
- Keep up to date with the latest content trends, tools, and best practices to continually improve digital content quality.
