
Electrical Generator Engineer

- Carrying diagnostic, testing and remedial works on generators, switchgear and associated equipment, and support PPM where required to include Load banking.
- Electrical fault finding and repair
- Generator upgrades, including but not limited to Control panels
- Providing call-out cover for generator breakdowns on a rota system
- Carrying out client site visits and generating accurate and timely reports
- Projecting spares requirements for upcoming and planned works
- Team technical development, training and mentoring
- Supporting operational tasks i.e: reporting, quotations, progress reports, customer enquiries etc
- Out of hours working
- On call service
- Minimum 5 years experience in the generator industry with a minimum of 2 years experience in standby power
- Proficient in the installation and operation of DSE/Comap
- Qualified electrical engineer i.e: NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND in Electronic / Electrical
- Qualified to 18th Edition Electrical Regulations
- 2391/2 Inspect and Test
- Switchgear experience/qualification would be highly desirable
- Skilled in technical report writing with acute attention to detail
- A good network within the Generator field would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
