📃 Contract / Permanent Roles ConsideredMy client is currently seeking an experienced and driven Electrical Construction Manager to lead and oversee the electrical delivery on a high-profile life sciences project in Cambridge. This is a £40M MEP scheme involving complex laboratory and office fitouts, as well as shell and core works.🔧 Role Overview:As Electrical Construction Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing all electrical installation works on site, ensuring safety, quality, and programme are maintained. This is a technically challenging and rewarding role on a flagship development in the heart of the UK's growing biotech hub.🛠️ Key Responsibilities:- Oversee all site-based electrical construction activities from shell & core through to fit-out.- Manage subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and programme.- Coordinate closely with mechanical, architectural, and client teams.- Report on progress, quality, and technical issues to senior management.- Ensure commissioning plans are followed and delivered on schedule.- Enforce and champion site safety and compliance.🧠 Requirements:- Proven experience as an Electrical Construction Manager on complex MEP projects (ideally in life sciences, healthcare, or high-spec commercial).- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, containment, cabling, distribution, and commissioning.- Experience on large-scale projects (£20M+ MEP preferred).- SMSTS, CSCS, and ideally relevant electrical qualifications (e.g. HNC, NVQ, or apprenticeship).- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.🌟 What’s On Offer:- Join a landmark life sciences project with national significance.- Work with a high-performing, collaborative project team.- Competitive rates and long-term project pipeline.
