- Establishing relationships to gain knowledge about the clients and matters of the departments quickly.
- Providing timely reports for Partners and Clients of outstanding invoices.
- Responsible for managing the AR revenue aspects of Partners and fee earners within the firm.
- Conducting a regular review of AR comments and arranging review meetings with Partners and fee earners.
- Holding and/or attending meetings with the Biller, Partners and fee earners to discuss AR in order to determine most appropriate course of action.
- Ensuring the timely delivery and payment of bills.
- Assist with ebilling delivery of invoices.
- Keeping the matter comments up to date for the purposes of reporting.
- Provide cash flow projections from the payment coding when requested.
- Maintenance of transfers of time/cost and write-offs, production of credit notes where necessary.
- Regular analysis of client/matter information in relation to archiving.
- Keeping Partners and fee earners up-to-date on outstanding matters.
- Minimum of five years plus previous experience of working in a legal environment including some exposure to billing, VAT, and disbursements.
- Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules.
- An understanding or experience of billing and collecting in a foreign currency and associated issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong skills in Excel.
- Experience of using Elite 3E.
