
Esteem Project Support Worker

- Planning and delivering a range of engaging youth-centred activities, including one-on-one sessions, group programs, and holiday activities.
- Working collaboratively within a supportive team to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for young people with low self-esteem, including those who may be neurodiverse.
- Fostering opportunities for young people to build friendships, enhance confidence, and promote overall well-being.
- Utilising your own personal talents, such as in sports, arts, or music, to positively engage with young people.
- Contributing to the service during weekday evenings.
- Experience working directly with young people aged 8-18.
- A relevant Youth Work qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) or significant experience in the field.
- An awareness and understanding of autism and anxiety in young people.
- The ability to develop positive relationships, keep confidential records, and work as part of a flexible, supportive team.
- A highly motivated and responsible approach with excellent communication skills.
- A strong passion for Achieving for Children’s vision, mission, and values.
- 29 days annual leave, increasing to 33 days after 2 years and 35 days after 4 years with an additional day off in your birthday month (Or for term-time workers, your leave entitlement consists of the non-working periods in your contract)
